The second Improving Residential Energy Efficiency (IREE) conference is to be held in Brisbane on the 15-16 April, 2019. Following on from the successful inaugural conference in Wollongong in 2017, the 2019 conference has a focus on understanding the role that energy efficiency plays in the health and wellbeing of households.

Understanding the role that energy efficiency plays in the everyday lives, health, and wellbeing of Australians is a complex challenge which requires the combined efforts of government agencies, energy providers and energy users. The 2019 IREE Conference will showcase research, case studies, conceptual ideas, and opinion pieces/critical viewpoints that focus on improving energy efficiency in Australian households and homes.

This conference will benefit numerous audiences including energy, health and community sector providers and state and national government agencies involved in energy regulation and policy, and researchers in energy efficiency in general. The aim is to share best practice outcomes, determined from research efforts, which may inform future actions around energy efficiency and wellbeing.

IREE 2019 is organised by GEER (Group of Energy Efficiency Researchers) Australia and Queensland University of Technology. CSIRO is a proud member of GEER and is also the gold sponsor for IREE 2019. Further details on IREE 2019 including submissions and registration can be found on the conference website: www.iree.org.au
