Australian Residential Energy Rating Conference

Australian Residential Energy Rating Conference rescheduled to Tuesday 23 – Wednesday 24 November 2021 (ARER 2021)

The ARER Conference plays an important role in Australia’s energy sector, forging links between energy assessors, builders, architects, regulators, researchers and academics.

After careful consideration and in light of recent guidance severely limiting the number of persons attending in-person meetings as a result of the continuing evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSIRO have made the difficult decision to further postpone the 2020 Australian Residential Energy Rating Conference. The event, originally planned for May 2020, then postponed to 20-21 May 2021, will now be held Tuesday 23 – Wednesday 24 November 2021. The venue, Doltone House – Darling Island in Sydney, is unchanged as is the format of the event with Assessors attending the event qualifying for CPD points.

These measures have been put in place to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to ensure a high level of attendance from local and interstate stakeholders. We trust that you understand that this decision has been made to minimise both costs and risks to our delegates, speakers, industry, and the broader community.

We are delighted to announce that current conference registrations can be transferred to the new conference dates without any additional charges being incurred. The Conference Office will be in contact with all those who have existing registrations to confirm the process for transferring over to the new November 2021 dates and the options available to anyone no longer able to attend.

If you have not yet registered, we are pleased to advise that registration for the 2021 Conference will reopen in August 2021 and that the early bird registration has been extended until Monday 4 October 2021.

We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding of this decision as we work through the next steps.

If you have any questions regarding the conference postponement, please do not hesitate to contact Madeleine Cullity, Wise Connections on behalf of CSIRO at
