Australian Residential Energy Rating Conference

Important update to the format and dates of the Australian Residential Energy Rating 2021 Conference (ARER 2021) (previously scheduled for 23 – 24 November 2021)

Australian Residential Energy Rating virtual conference 24, 25, 26, 29 November 2021 (ARER 2021)

The ARER Conference plays an important role in Australia’s energy sector, forging links between energy assessors, builders, architects, regulators, researchers and academics.

In light of current government guidelines severely limiting the number of persons able to attend indoor events and restrictions on interstate travel, CSIRO have decided to deliver ARER 2021 as a fully online, virtual experience. We believe this is the safest approach for all concerned.

The conference program will run over four half days (Wednesday 24, Thursday 25, Friday 26 and Monday 29 November). See here for the draft program.

The conference will be delivered using the Events OnAir online streaming platform. This conference platform offers a range of exciting delivery capabilities for attendees allowing for one-on-one or group engagement, information sharing, polling, chat facility and Q&A, as well as on-demand access to presentations for several months following the event.

All Assessors attending the conference sessions will qualify for up to 5 technical and 6 non-technical CPD Points.

We are delighted to announce that current conference registrations will enable virtual access for the full duration of the revised conference dates. The Conference Office will be in contact directly with all those who have existing registrations to confirm individual details.

If you have not yet registered, we are pleased to advise that registration for the 2021 Conference has now reopened, please click here to secure your place. The registration fee for the virtual event is $440.

We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding of this decision as we work through the next steps.

If you have any questions regarding the conference postponement, please do not hesitate to contact Madeleine Cullity, Wise Connections on behalf of CSIRO at
