Privacy Statement

HOW WILL MY PRIVACY BE PROTECTED?

Your personal information is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). CSIRO will handle your information in accordance with this Act and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007, updated 2018), or as otherwise required by law.

Your personal information, including your name, address, and contact phone number, is being collected for the purposes of conducting the Home Air Tightness project, and related scientific research. 

CSIRO may disclose your personal information to third parties including the Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA) who will undertake the test and by virtue of your participation, other participants in the focus group/interview/symposium etc for the purposes outlined above.

CSIRO does not intend to disclose your personal information overseas. However, some incidental overseas disclosure may occur in the conduct of a test or in ordinary correspondence, particularly where some participants are located overseas, or where CSIRO engages third-party products or platforms to facilitate the project.  This project is partnering with Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association who is based in the United Kingdom and may use servers based in the United Kingdom. This means your personal information may be transferred to ATTMA servers located outside Australia.

Results from the project will be de-identified and/or aggregated and published/presented or shared in a variety of forums and with third parties. This includes research reports, scientific journal articles and conference papers and presentations.

CONSENTS

  1. I agree to the collection, use and disclosure of my personal information in the ways described in the Participant Information Sheet entitled Air tightness testing of newly built dwellings.
  2. I agree to the transfer of my personal information to Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA) servers based outside of Australia. I acknowledge that this information may not be subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
