Floor Areas
The NatHERS simulation divides the dwelling into specific areas or zones based on whether they would typically be heated and/or cooled by a heating/cooling system.
Conditioned areas are those areas that would normally be heated and/or cooled and cover most areas of a typical dwelling including the living, kitchen, bedrooms and lounge areas.
Unconditioned areas are those areas that typically have no heating/cooling system and include bathrooms, laundries and toilets.
Garage area is the unconditioned garage area.
Window Areas
The visualisation shows the average total window area for the selected state/territory, building class and project type. The window area is calculated for each star rating group allowing you to see how window areas change as star ratings change. A dashboard on window orientation is available here.
